XL Airways to begin using new 737-900s from Manchester
Destinations

XL Airways, the British carrier and scheduled airline, is to increase the number of seats available on number routes it operates from its base at Manchester Airport, as part of its investment in a new generation of flying machines. Recently, Manchester Airport is in limelight due to many airlines increasing their services from it or starting new flights from this airport.

Starting from the 29th of May this year, the carrier will use Boeing 737-900 aircrafts to operate its services. The new flying machines are fitted with 26 more seats than the B737-800 planes currently used by the carrier, and as such, travellers will have more space on the airline's flights from the northern base. This increased capacity will benefit the passengers a lot, as they would be able to make ticket bookings according to their limited schedule.

From its base at Manchester Airport, the airline operates services to various destinations including Spain, Egypt and the Canary Islands. So, if you are looking to visit any of these destinations, you would have more options of available seats in the flights of XL airways.

In addition to providing more seat capacity (215 seats) the new Boeing 737-900 aircrafts are also advantageous for the airline, as these new flying machines are more efficient: these use 2.5 per cent less fuel per customer than the Boeing 737-800 planes on an average distance.

Every year, XL.com carries more than 750,000 travellers through Manchester airport.
