Wyndham Hotel Group today announced that the Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand will be introduced to the United Kingdom with the conversion of The Conrad London, the five-star, all-suite hotel of Hilton Hotels Corporation, to The Wyndham London–Chelsea Harbour.

A Wyndham Hotel Group International subsidiary, Chelsea Harbour Management Inc., will operate the 160-unit hotel under a 20-year agreement with the owner, Blue Harbour 2 Ltd., a privately held entity in the United Kingdom.

Â"After an extensive search, we selected the Wyndham brand for our marquee London hotel and the company behind the brand -- Wyndham Hotel Group International -- to manage it,Â" said Pat Power, director, Blue Harbour 2 Ltd.  Â"We are proud to introduce this widely recognized brand name to the United Kingdom.Â"

The Wyndham London–Chelsea Harbour is situated in the exclusive Chelsea Harbour, 50 yards from the River Thames overlooking the marina.  Chelsea, known for its upscale retail and restaurants and celebrity residents, is a few minutesÂ' drive from Kings Road, Sloane Square and Knightsbridge.

Steven A. Rudnitsky, Wyndham Hotel Group president and chief executive officer, said the introduction of the Wyndham brand in London is part of the companyÂ's strategy to pursue flagship Wyndham hotel properties in key international and gateway cities.

Â"London is EuropeÂ's economic hub and one of the largest feeder markets in the world,Â" he said. Â"The addition of The Wyndham London–Chelsea Harbour to our collection of first-class Wyndham properties further establishes Wyndham Hotel GroupÂ's position as a global hospitality company and demonstrates the strength of the Wyndham brand.Â"

Each of the hotelÂ's suites feature a sitting room, high-speed Internet access and 24-hour security, and many offer a balcony.  Six luxury penthouse suites overlook the harbor and river.  Hotel facilities include 14 conference rooms, gymnasium, cardio room, indoor 17-meter pool, saunas and steam rooms.  Its Aquasia Restaurant, Bar and Terrace offers modern European cuisine.

Â"Our intent is to fully leverage this hotelÂ's premier status by augmenting its restaurant, bar and spa amenities,Â" Rudnitsky said. The hotel is only 15 minutes away from the city and it offers stunning views of the city's skyline and the River Thames, Chelsea Harbour is one of London's most prestigious addresses.
