During its Kiev-Odessa-Kiev demonstration flight, Ukraine's low fares carrier, Wizz Air Ukraine, said that it was going to operate its services on international routes to London Luton, Milan Bergamo and Dortmund from its base at Kiev later this year. This is welcome news for passengers of Wizz Air, as they would be to take international flights with the airlines.
The budget carrier will offer air travel opportunities to a large number of Ukrainian travellers and hundreds of thousands of students and workers who are living in a foreign country to make their journey back home-double benefit for the passengers and no wonder that the customer base of the airlines would also increase.
The new services are scheduled to begin on the 15th of September and will complement the domestic network of the low cost carrier.
However, passengers will be able to book tickets for the carrier's new international services only after regulatory approvals that are expected to come in the month of July.
Wizz Air previously said that after getting the air operator's certificate and operating license it would start operating domestic services from the 11th of July, 2008.
The routes included in the carrier's domestic network are between Kiev and Odessa, between Kiev and Simferopol, between Kiev and Lvov and between Lvov and Simferopol.
However, the earlier planned services to Zaporozhie and Kharkov will briefly be delayed due to airport slot restrictions and a higher customer demand on the airline's other routes.
