Virgin Atlantic, the British carrier, yesterday introduced a new summer flight on the route between Glasgow airport and Orlando, Florida-a great delights for the passengers of Virgin Atlantic.
This is great news for passengers of Virgin Atlantic as they would be able to visit the famous city of Orlando taking direct flights from Glasgow Airport. In the times when lots of airlines are not able to meet the requirements and are downing lots of flights, this is a step that vindicates that Virgin Atlantic is not suffering much from the continuing fuel price hike around the world.
To celebrate the first flight, a traditional Scottish band played on the main concourse of the airport.
Those who were travelling on the inaugural flight were treated to a range of free gifts to mark the introduction of the new service, which is being offered in cooperation with Virgin Holidays.
Glasgow Airport's managing director, Gordon Dewar, said, "The new service has proved a phenomenal success and next years' expanded programme is already selling well, proving that Scotland is capable of sustaining world-class airlines such as Virgin Atlantic".
It is also possible that Virgin Atlantic will offer more flights to Transatlantic destinations as the routes are cleared by the authorities. Passengers would be able to enjoy a lot of development in this area and aviation industry will also benefit as a whole due to these developments in flights and routes offered by various airlines in UK.
