Confirm your booking by the 30th of May and enjoy discounted fares: Virgin Atlantic is offering travellers the chance to visit the States this summer by launching its new fares sale.

The carrier has put fares for its routes to New York and Los Angeles on sale, with return flights available at a price starting from as low as £319. Fares offered in the sale are inclusive of all the taxes, fees and surcharges.

All departures are from London Heathrow airport and ticket prices for the routes may vary depending on the date of travel, with the highest fares during the peak-season months of July and August.

To be eligible for the special fares, passengers must book for a minimum of one Saturday night stay. The maximum allowable stay is for 12 months.

Passengers are able to change their pre-booked travel date for an additional fee of £100 per ticket. No cancellations are permitted.

Flights to New York JFK for: just £319 (between now and 30th June); just £469 (between 1st July and 21st August); and just £369 (between 22nd August and 31st October).

Flights to New York Newark for: just £319 (between now and 30th June); just £469 (between 1st July and 21st August); and just £369 (between 22nd August and 31st October).

Flights to Los Angeles for: just £389 (between now and 30th June); and just £459 (between 22nd August and 31st October).
