UK's first carbon neutral bottled water
Green Travel

After two years of remarkable work in the US, where the firm has successfully held its outstanding design and exceptional purity, Icelandic Glacial, the new bottled water brand has now set its eyes on the UK.

Via a statement that indicates their calculations and belief, the company has come out with their plan to secure a top tier place in the foreign bottled water sector, within three years.

Gaining the consideration of clear-sighted buyers looking for only the purest, natural mineral water purchasable, the company is helping describe the latest super-premium bottled water class – a premium bottled water at a bearable price.

Icelandic Glacial is using only geothermal and hydroelectric natural energy in its production facility. So the initial carbon footprint of the company is much less than other traditional bottled water companies.

Empty cargo slots on scheduled sailings are utilized by the company's shipments from Iceland, which in turn undertakes points concerning the food miles affair.

Icelandic Glacial also the CarbonNeutral certification, which differentiated the company from other producers, as it is the only company in the UK to have such certification.

"We believe we stand head and shoulders above our competitors: our shipments to the UK use only empty cargo slots on scheduled ships eliminating any food mile concerns, and we also make sure never to over-exploit our natural resources, as Icelandic Glacial uses only a tiny fraction of the daily overflow from Iceland's legendary Ölfus Spring before it heads out to sea", commented Patrick Racz, COO.
