Be at ease at The Howard after enjoying a morning at the Scottish National Portrait Galler-the place where you can see 150 superb and brilliant portraits from Vanity Fair Magazine-the matchless barometer of culture al zeitgeist.
Vintage works from the early period of Vanity Fair-between 1913 and 1936-are put on show together with photographs included in the magazine since it was re-launched in 1983 to the present day.
Among those featured are some of the most famous personalities of the present times, with sitters ranging from Claude Monet, Jesse Owens and Amelia Earhart, to Arthur Miller, Madonna and David Hockney, and Hollywood faces from Greta Garbo and Charlie Chaplin to Julia Roberts and Jack Nicolson.
The exhibition will start on the 14th of June and will run until the 21st of September, 2008.
