From May 28th, SWISS will be offering its clients culinary delights from Switzerland's capital, Bern.
Gregor Zimmermann, executive chef at the Bellevue Palace, the 5-star establishment located adjacent to the Swiss parliament building in Bern, has invented some new combinations exclusively for the airline's First and Business Class customers in association with food service provider, Gate Gourmet.
The new innovations will be offered on SWISS flights until 26th August in a new chapter of the carrier's 'SWISS Taste of Switzerland' in-flight catering idea.
Under its 'SWISS Taste of Switzerland' in-flight culinary concept, SWISS offers its clients a wide variety of meals prepared by some of the leading chefs of its home country.
Hotel director Urs Bührer, said, "The kitchen of this tradition-steeped hotel has already earned 16 GaultMillau points and has long been delighting gourmets from all over the globe. SWISS and the Bellevue Palace are an excellent match. They both meet the highest quality demands".
Gregor Zimmermann's innovative combinations will be offered to the airline's First and Business Class customers on intercontinental flights from Switzerland and on some inbound services as well as to Business Class travellers on longer European services beginning in Switzerland.
Christoph Beckmann, Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer at SWISS, said, "We're very pleased to be continuing our ongoing quality drive with the Bellevue Palace, one of the Leading Hotels of the World. And we're delighted to be offering our customers excellent cuisine this summer, too, to complement our outstanding inflight comfort and care".
