Singapore is making itself ready for its famous Fall Festival Season, as visitors from the region occupy the island-nation to enjoy the magic of a unique trio of awaited festivals set to offer original cultural experiences.

Three major ethnic festivals-Hari Raya, Mid-Autumn and Deepavali, are being celebrated in Singapore from September to November. This is the time when travellers from the Middle East can plan for a traditional cultural offering with the help of a host of activities specially planned for them. 

The celebrations perfectly showcase the multi-cultural heritage of Singapore. The celebrations also offer a rare opportunity for Arab families to come across the Lion City and experience its diverse and distinctive mix of cultures.

The Hari Raya Festival, one of the most meaningful ceremonies for Muslims in Singapore, has consistently attracted a significant number of people from the region. With its popular light-up ceremony, the festival kicks off September 8 and draws to an end October 21.

From September 8 to September 30, Chinatown, the popular spot for the Mid-Autumn Festival, will feature a Lion Dance competition, Chinese folk arts, beautifully-lit streets and bazaar stalls.

For Deepavali or the Festival of Lights, the streets of Little India will be lit up from October 12 to November18.

Ke-Wei Peh, Area Director for the Middle East and Africa, Singapore Tourism Board said, "The fall festival season is a wonderful opportunity for visitors to soak in the Singaporean community's colourful heritage and culture, which is an integral part of Singapore's rich cultural heritage".
