In next to no time, more passengers travelling to and from London with Singapore Airlines will be able to enjoy the airline's world-famous A380 cabin products and flying experience.

The carrier is to introduce an additional A380 service on the route between Singapore and London, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The world's largest passenger plane will be used to operate the carrier's flights SQ 318 (from Singapore to London Heathrow), and the SQ 321 (returning flight). This is in addition to the airline's existing daily A380 service offered on flights SQ 322 (from Singapore to London) and SQ 317 (from London to Singapore).

With the introduction of additional service the number of Singapore Airlines A380 services between the two cities becomes 11 flights per week.

Mr. Huang Cheng Eng, Singapore Airlines Executive Vice President Marketing and Regions, said, "Our A380 products have been very well received by our customers, and loads on the Singapore-London route have been exceptionally encouraging. The deployment of another A380 on this route will cater to continual strong demand from customers traveling between Singapore and London".

The new service on the route between Singapore and London will be started from the 16th of July.

However, from 31st July until 9th August, there will be a temporary break in A380 services on SQ 318 (from Singapore to London) and SQ 321 (from London to Singapore) inclusive as the plane will be set out to Beijing for a week, to provide for an increased passenger demand in the lead-up to the beginning of the Olympics.
