Raise your glass to 10 years of the Bordeaux Wine Festival
UK Travel

The most exciting 2008 Bordeaux Wine Festival is scheduled between 26th and 29th of June on the quays of the Garonne River, stretching between the Pont de Pierre and the Bourse Maritime. This year marks the tenth year of this festival inviting the lovers of food, wine, culture and festivity from all over the world to rejoice over the celebrations in this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Following Oporto, Munich, and Fukuoka, the vibrant city of Saint Petersburg will be the guest of honour for this year's Bordeaux Wine Festival. In this connection, an entire pavilion will be totally dedicated to this city. Notably, Bordeaux has established wonderful connections with this city in the areas of scientific research, aerospace, arts and culture, language and education. In addition, Russia is the 15th largest market for exporting Bordeaux wine.

The Wine Road located between the river and the XVIIIth-Century façades is among the top highlight. The Tasting Pass costs 13 Euros including a glass, glass case, several tickets with special offers and a tasting notebook. This enables the visitors to personally experience the quality and diversity of wines from
Bordeaux and the Aquitaine regions by visiting Pavillon des Négociants and Pavillon des Appellations. In addition, for an additional charge of 3 Euros, the new Duo Pass introduced this year offers the visitors an extra glass and glass case to share the event with their partner or friend.

The event will feature concerts, competitions and wine related special performances.
