No-Frills Wizz Air Flies Sofia-Varna
European Airlines

New flights have been introduced by Wizz Air from the capital Sofia to the coastal town of Varna. It is the only low-cost airline to act for domestic flights in Bulgaria. This is a very good offer made by the no-frills airlines for its passengers, as now they can avail the services while visiting Varna from the capital city of Sofia.

The first flight will take off on 12 July, 2008 and will function four times a week. Regular one-way fares begin from EUR 9.99, inclusive of all taxes and charges. A new A320 aircraft will be drawn by Wizz Air to expand its Sofia base commencing from July 2008. You can plan your trips according to the schedule offered by the airlines.

It will make an addition of four international routes to its timetable, flying from Sofia to Milan-Bergamo, Valencia, Barcelona and Turkey's Izmir, the chief low-fare route from Bulgaria to a country outside the European Union.

One-way tickets for the new international routes with all inclusive fares start from EUR 24.99. The company also thought of increasing the frequencies on existing services to London, Rome and Dortmund.

Jozsef Varadi, Chief Executive Officer of Wizz Air says, "This wave of expansion will triple Wizz Air's current capacity in Sofia and will further strengthen its market leadership in the Bulgarian low-cost airline sector".

Wizz Air will also start its selection for pilots and cabin crew to be based in Sofia for staffing the new aircraft.
