With Magnificent Motors returning from 3rd to 4th may 2008, over 25,000 visitors are expected to throng the seafront to participate in the biggest motoring festival of the South Coast.
Motoring lovers can view more than 500 classic and vintage cars, buses, motorbikes, commercial and military vehicles and steam traction engines as all of them park up on the elegant promenade of Eastbourne. A vintage vehicle cavalcade is scheduled on both Saturday and Sunday next year, when classic cars will celebrate the automotives of yesteryear with a parade all along the entire length of the seafront.
Cllr Steve Wallis, Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson for Tourism remarked, "Magnificent Motors is a key event that marks the beginning of Eastbourne's busy season and every year it continues to get bigger. It's a rare opportunity to see the automobile timeline laid out in front of you, with a French market, stalls and rides to keep everyone entertained."
The event of this year is scheduled to take place over the May Bank Holiday weekend. During the event, the French Market shall return to bring a continental flavour to supply authentic baguettes, wines and cheeses on offer.
With plenty of things to do, Magnificent Motors guarantees a well-packed weekend for 2008. Plan in advance to reserve 3-4 May free to participate in the event to admire classic cars, relish cool refreshments and jump aboard for a funfair ride.
