More A380 flights heading to Heathrow

London Heathrow airport is to get an added number of flights with the recently launched Airbus A380 aircraft. This is great news for passengers who would like to take flights from London Heathrow, as they would have more options to take the flights.

Singapore Airlines has said that its fleet of super-jumbos will be operating at Heathrow airport four more times per week, taking the total number of its flights to eleven. So, passengers can expect to have more choices of schedules and flights in the coming days at London Heathrow.

The airline's route from Singapore to London will have more departures on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays as of 16th July, said the carrier's spokesman Mr. Huang Cheng Eng-truly, a great news for passengers of Singapore Airlines.

He said, "Our A380 products have been very well received by our customers and loads on the Singapore-London route have been exceptionally encouraging. The deployment of another A380 on this route will cater to continual strong demand from customers travelling between Singapore and London".

He further said that there will be a brief break in A380 services between 31st July and 9th August, when the flying machine will be used on routes to Beijing in order to meet the higher demand due to the Olympics.

Aircraft manufacturer Airbus recently announced delays to the supply of its super-jumbos, aiming to ship only twelve of the planes in the current year and twenty-one in the next year.
