From the 1st of June, Monarch's scheduled flights will not be available on Worldspan and Sabre, as the holiday carrier is withdrawing from the UK Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP).
Passengers are still able to book the carrier's flights via Amadeus and Galileo by making use of an alternative Instant Pay system. So, if you were looking to travel with Monarch to any of these destinations, you will not be able to do it after 1st of June.
Agents, however, will need to provide the details of their personal or their client's credit card for making the flight bookings; otherwise, they will not be able to get confirmed bookings.
Sales via Amadeus and Galileo will be open from Monday.
A spokeswoman for the airline said, "We decided to withdraw flights from Worldspan and Sabre as we have noticed a significant fall in business and Amadeus and Galileo are strongest in our core market".
The carrier will try to be like easyJet-one of Europe's largest low-cost carriers-by signing non-GDS suppliers to its 'Application Programming Interface' (API), which intends to stop them screen-scraping online ticket prices.
The airline's spokeswoman said, "We are looking to work with partners with whom we can connect on an API basis. Galileo and Amadeus have this functionality".
Passengers need to take care while planning their journeys as lots of airlines are dropping scheduled flights to different destinations-so they need to keep track of all of them.
