Monarch, the charter and scheduled airline, has said that it is resuming its service on the route from Manchester to Gibraltar. This is a very good news for passengers visiting Gibraltar from Manchester.
From the 12th of September, the Luton based low-cost carrier will operate three times a week service on the route: on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The carrier will offer one-way tickets for its services at a price starting from just £48. All the taxes and charges are included in the ticket price. So, you can book your tickets straight-away with such a low price.
The carrier had withdrawn its services on the route in the month of July in 2006. However, it continued to offer services to Gibraltar via its hub at London Luton.
While making comments on the airline's re-launch of the Manchester service, the airline's Managing Director Liz Savage, said, "There continues to be huge demand for flights from our customers and this has been reflected by the number of requests that we have received from them over the past few years".
The spokesperson also said, "Gibraltar provides an ideal gateway to both The Rock plus the many holiday hotspots in Southern Spain".
The carrier also operates its services on a number of routes to Spain, Cyprus and Portugal.
Some of the main operational bases of the Luton based carrier include London Gatwick, Birmingham and Manchester.
