Lufthansa increases presence in Florida

After a successful period, Lufthansa, the German flag carrier, has come to a decision to add more transcontinental services on the route from Frankfurt to Orlando.

Lufthansa started operating its flights on the route between Frankfurt and Orlando last fall, but the carrier currently offers only five times a week service on the route.

And, now the carrier has decided to serve the route daily. The increased number of flights will be available from the 26th of October.

A spokesperson for the German flag carrier, Martin Riecken said that the new route to Florida has gone beyond the expectations of the company.

Riecken further said that the carrier's decision to introduce daily services on the route was a clear reflection of excellent figures for flight bookings.

Lufthansa already have an impressive network of its destinations in North America, including Washington, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, Denver, Dallas, Detroit, Seattle, Philadelphia and Houston.

The carrier also operates its services to a number of Canadian destinations, including Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary and Montreal: any of these destinations are served with a code-sharing agreement with Air Canada.

The German flag carrier is a full-service airline and it serves travellers in its economy class with a complimentary hot meal, a snack and free beverages on all of its transatlantic flights.

Lufthansa, founded in 1926, is Europe's largest carrier and is a full member of the Star Alliance. Currently, it operates flights to 209 destinations in 81 countries.
