In the former years, it has turned to a common story as you will probably see that they are all occupied in the city. It's natural even with Grand National weekend in April and the Beatles Festival weekend at the end of August.
With the beginning of the Arena and Convention Centre at Kings Waterfront coming year, the circumstances seem to be bad. It would lead to an additional demand of 250,000 rooms in a year. The city faces the shortage of hotel rooms but is fraught with city centre apartments.
Jim Beal, Property developer has obtained Merchant Living to provide serviced apartments to those searching for a room in Liverpool. "We like to keep it quiet here. We don't want our guests being disturbed. Quality is the key. This is the only five star accommodations available in Liverpool", he talked. Prices begin from £120 a night for a one bedroom apartment and goes to £180 for a three bed flat.
Mr. Beal is chairman of The Mersey Partnership's serviced apartments group. "We are trying to establish the name of serviced apartments. We don't want them to be thought of as just a place for stag nights".
The serviced apartments provide a home from home feeling which is comfortable to stay for few nights. "Many who stay in a serviced apartment say they would never stay in a hotel again," he claims.
He presently has 22 apartments in Liverpool city centre. "I hope to get that to 100 by next April", he says.
