Jet2.com, the low-cost carrier, has said that it will be offering services on a new route to Newark airport, New York in the run-up to the Christmas. This is great news for passengers using the services of Jet2, as they will be able to visit US city New York during the busiest of times of the year.
The Leeds, England based budget carrier is serving the route with a fortnightly flight on a trial basis throughout the months of November and December, and if the demand increases it will also increase its frequency. Most likely, the demand of the service would increase as lots of UK travellers go to US during those times.
At present, no other carrier serves the route from Leeds Bradford Airport to Newark airport, New York. This is one of the most striking feature of this service, which if capitalised by Jet2 would definitely be a huge success among the passengers.
Mr. Richard Bodin, Jet2holidays managing director said that the Newark link was only the first of a number of routes scheduled for it's yet to announce schedule for winters.
He said, "We have a long list of potential destinations including sporting, religious and cultural events".
Mr. Bodin further said, "We are launching with Christmas shopping breaks as our research suggested this was the one thing most people tend to recommend to friends as a must-do first experience, and something they tend to repeat".
