Jet2.com, the low-cost carrier, has introduced its services on a new route to the Swiss city of Geneva from Blackpool International Airport-welcome news for passengers of Jet2.
The budget airline will start operating its weekly service to the historic city on the 13th of December, and will continue to serve the route until the 18th of April.
Fares for the airline's new service will be available at a price starting from as little as £29.99. This is a great chance for passengers to travel to Geneva from Blackpool International Airport at such a low price. Air travel prices are increasing day by day and in such times, such a low price is quite unexpected.
The launch of the low-cost carrier's new service is the first addition to the schedule of the airport since Balfour Beatty completed a £14 million takeover of the hub.
David Kershaw, chief executive of the airport, said, "This clearly demonstrates Jet2.com's continued confidence in Blackpool and will help us achieve our aim of becoming the airport of choice for Lancashire and Cumbria.
By offering more flights and destinations, we are encouraging people to use their local airport so that their travelling times are shorter and the start of their journey is stress-free and enjoyable".
At present, Jet2.com is offering its services to 20 European destinations from Blackpool Airport, including Tenerife, Malaga and Ibiza. This will be a good addition to this list for passengers using Blackpool International Airport.
