Jet2.com, the Yorkshire-based low fares carrier, has introduced four more routes to its schedule for the winter season.
As of 18th June, the low-cost airline has started selling tickets for its flights for the European cities of Belfast, Amsterdam, Prague and Dusseldorf. This is great news in fuel price crisis that has rocked the aviation industry since the airlines started increasing the surcharge over ticket prices. Many of the airlines are made to cancel many of the routes that they were offering and lots of them are keeping those routes off. But Jet2 is providing a rare ray of hope that there is still chance for passengers to visit some destinations.
One-way tickets are offered at a price starting from as little as £13.99 (including all the taxes). All flights take off from Leeds Bradford airport.
The spreading out of the budget carrier's winter schedule comes after an earlier announcement by the company in which it said that it was to start operating its flights to the Egyptian holiday resort of Sharm el Sheikh in the month of February.
While commenting on that introduction of new routes by the budget carrier, an airport spokesman, Tony Hallwood, said, "Increasing the choice and scope of destinations available from Leeds Bradford is crucial to the continued success and prosperity of the airport".
At present, Jet2.com operates its services out of 6 airports in UK, offering services to more than seventy locations with its fleet of twenty-nine Boeing flying machines.
