The inaugural flight of Iberia to Dubrovnik will take off tomorrow from Terminal 4 at Madrid airport with more than 85 per cent of seat occupancy.
The Spanish carrier will operate the flight to Dubrovnik from the 7th of June until the 12th of October.
It will fly three return flights on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays in the months of July, August and September.
In the months of June and October, the carrier will offer a two times a week service, operating on Saturdays and Sundays, between Madrid and the Pearl of the Adriatic.
To operate its services on the route, the carrier will use Airbus A320 aircraft fitted with a Business Class cabin.
Iberia thus turns out be the only carrier to provide an air link between Madrid and Dubrovnik.
The carrier hopes to transport more than 14,000 travellers on its new route during the summer season. It has scheduled these services to offer links to its other locations, particularly in the Americas and in Spain.
At the moment, Iberia is a leading carrier in Spain and also market leader on services between Europe and Latin America. In the year 2007, it posted the operating income of more than 5.52 billion euros and net profits of 327.6 million, with an Ebitdar of 932 million.
The Spanish carrier is also distinguished by its policies-social, corporate, and environmental. Together with its franchise associate Iberia Regional, it offers around 1,000 flights daily to 100 locations. Last year, Iberia transported 32.5 million travelers.
