Most remarkably, Hong Kong Express Airways is continuously strengthening its presence and position in Asia, as the carrier of choice in Hong Kong. This enviable status has been achieved with the inclusion of increased services and new routes. Having firmly understood the present needs of the market and demands, Hong Kong Express Airways has recently introduced daily services to Shanghai and Beijing, in addition to a four-flights-a-week service to Seoul. Over and above, the carrier is planning new routes to Osaka, Phuket, Denpasar and Manila during September, besides several additional routes to various cities located in Japan in the month of October.
Director, Commercial, Hong Kong Express Airways, Raymond Ng observed, "We are delighted to strengthen and diversify our network, and provide passengers with increased flexibility to travel throughout the region."
Most interestingly, during recent days, Okinawa has emerged as a cherished hot spot for Hong Kong travellers, especially attracting beach lovers and divers. Starting from 1st August 2008, Hong Kong Express Airways' Hong Kong to Okinawa service will be operated daily in order to cater to the growing demand.
Responding to the present challenges in the industry, Mr Ng detailed the stand that the airline has decided to take at present, "At the same time, we have rescheduled some of our less-travelled routes and reduced capacity on others to minimize the impact of rising fuel prices. This will include the temporary suspension of the Hiroshima and Okayama services beginning from 1st September 2008.
