As this week began the countdown of the 100 days for the official opening of the new skyhub of the Glasgow Airport, Most notably, the skyhub is the new terminal extension of the airport.
The opening of the domestic arrivals hall sited on the ground floor of the Skyhub has been scheduled on 21st October. In a few days following that the new security control zone located on the first floor will be unveiled.
One of the most notable features of the security control area is the X-Ray machines that help in expediting the check-in process for the passengers, thereby offering them enough time to relax before they board their flights.
After the security clearance is over, the passengers shall find new shops and eateries ranging from a Hugo Boss store to a Starbucks coffee shop and a Frankie and Benny's restaurant.
Managing director of Glasgow Airport, Gordon Dewar, observed, "The opening of skyhub, now just 100 days away, promises a better airport experience for passengers at Glasgow Airport, with fast, efficient security screening, more space to relax and a wider choice of bars, restaurants and shops. At a cost of £31 million, skyhub is a significant investment by BAA Glasgow in customer service and security, and signals our commitment to put passengers first at Glasgow Airport."
Most interestingly, Glasgow Airport offers flights to a number of destinations in the UK in Europe. Some of the notable destinations among the continental destinations served by the airport include Milan, Munich and Paris.
