Flybe named 'fastest growing' carrier to Germany
European Airlines

Flybe, UK's leading non London centric airline has been named the 'fastest growing low-cost carrier' operating air travel services to and from Germany.

Low Cost Monitor, the latest survey released by the German Centre for Aero and Spacetravel showed that Flybe-one of the Europe's largest budget airlines-has seen a huge increase of 392 per cent in flight ranking over a period of the last twelve months. This is a valuable award for Flybe as it will increase passengers' charm towards their services, flying to Germany.

At present, travellers to Germany have a total of 128 flights in a week available to 5 major airports in Germany, an increase in the number of flights from just 26 operated in 2006-07.

Mike Rutter, chief commercial officer at Flybe, said, "We're absolutely delighted to be significantly ahead of our competitors in terms of growth in Germany.

This can be attributed to our tried and trusted regional business model which serves many of Germany's key airports. We are always looking at ways to grow the Flybe brand, offering our passengers even more routes to business and leisure destinations across the UK and Europe. We are heartened by the fact that our efforts in Germany have not gone unrecognized".

Mr. Rutter further added that the Exeter based carrier looked forward to continuing to offer their services to the passengers travelling to and from German, with an affordable, efficient and passenger-focused service.
