Flybe installs self-service kiosks at Cardiff
European Airlines

Flybe, the low fares carrier, has completed the work of setting up three new self-service check-in kiosks at Cardiff International Airport.

The budget airline is the first carrier to make investments in the latest queue-busting technology, which according to it shows its firm commitment to passenger service at the hub. This is great step towards providing easy way through the check-in process, which is reported to waste a lot of time of passengers and is a sort of headache for airlines also.

Apart from enhancing convenience and options for customers, the new check-in kiosks also offer a more cost-effective alternative of channelling travellers through terminals, thus minimising losses due flight delays. This would help the passengers tremendously and would be welcomed by the passengers of Flybe.

Alluding to latest figures which show that 4 out of 10 Flybe clients currently use electronic check-in facilities, spokesman Simon Lilley said that the carrier was not surprised that such hassle frees check-in facilities are gaining popularity among customers. It is also expected that the popularity of these electronic check-in facilities will grow further and more passengers would like to use this facility in future.

Mr. Lilley further said, "We will now be focusing on driving usage even higher, plus working on implementation of the next step which will see passengers checking-in by mobile phone. We will continue to flush out cost, whilst providing our passengers with a suite of affordable options to suit their needs".
