In a strategic move to enhance its profile, Flybe has recently announced that it has decided to extend its winter flight schedule to some of the most popular ski destinations of Europe.
According to the recent announcement, it is clear that the airline shall continue operating its flight services to a good number of Alpine resorts. Some of the notable ones in this list include Verbier, Chamonix, Val D'Isere and Courchevel. It appears that these destinations will be served by the airline well into the Easter period too, with the services departing from about six UK bases.
In addition, the extended Saturday flights are scheduled to depart from the airports of Birmingham, Exeter, the Isle of Man, Jersey, Norwich and Southampton, with the airline wishing to offer the chance for people across the country to enjoy the rare chance to catch the last of the snow.
Most interestingly, fares to destinations like Chambery, Geneva and Bern start from just £39.99 one-way, with the price including all taxes and charges. Notably, the present announcement immediately follows the recent launch of the through-ticketing service named Flybe Connections.
While noting the stand of the airline in this regard, the airline spokesman Mike Rutter said, "Our winter schedule only went on sale two weeks ago, but already we've seen such great demand, we're extending 12 ski routes for Saturday travel through Easter and beyond. To ensure the very best possible fares on these hugely popular routes, people should book so they don't miss out."
