Emirates-one of the fastest-growing airlines in the world-has uncovered plans to advance its Indian operation with 18 new weekly flights from the 1st of July.

The Dubai-based carrier will add more flights to the national capital city, New Delhi, and Indian IT hubs, Hyderabad and Bangalore, advancing its Indian operation to a total of 132 flights per week.

After its recent announcement to start a second daily flight to New Delhi, the carrier will start four more weekly services to the capital city, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, from July 2nd.

The increased capacity, 18 flights a week, will offer business customers smooth access to international business locations such as London, New York, Paris via Dubai and Frankfurt.

Bangalore, which is also called as the 'Silicon Valley of India' and is home to more than 1600 technology companies, including Infosys, IBM, Compaq, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Intel, will get 7 additional weekly flights: 2 will be started in July while the remaining 5 in October.

The carrier will progressively enhance its Hyderabad operation to a total of 18 flights per week by the 1st of October.

Emirates' senior vice president, commercial operations, West Asia and Indian Ocean, Salem Obaidalla, "Having fuelled strong economic and trade ties between the Middle East and India since the start of its services in 1985, Emirates is well-poised to support India's blistering growth in the 21st century with its efficient, reliable and increased air links".
