easyJet, the low-cost carrier, has started operating its services on a new route to Murcia from Newcastle International Airport, offering passengers an opportunity to go to one of the most popular destinations in east coast of Spain. The airline's new service to Murcia is its seventeenth route from Newcastle airport. So, overall, this is a great advancement of destinations and flights for the passengers of easyJet and Newcastle Airport.
The London Luton based budget carrier will serve the route with a three times a week service, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Return tickets for the new service are available at a price starting from just £46.98.
UK commercial manager for easyJet, Carly Brear, said, "Murcia is already a popular destination from other easyJet bases in the UK and now travellers from the north east can take advantage of one of the most popular destinations on the east coast of Spain.
Forward bookings for the route have been very strong, which further proves the demand for direct low fare flights from Newcastle to the sun".
The carrier expects to serve around 41,000 travellers on its new route from Newcastle to Murcia during the first twelve months of its operation and it joins several other routes served by the carrier from Newcastle to Spainish destiantions, including Menorca, Ibiza and Malaga.
