EasyJet puts all seats on sale

Confirm your booking by midnight on the 10th of June and enjoy discounted fares on a large number of flights.

EasyJet, the low cost carrier, has put cut priced tickets on all of its routes for sale. This is a great news for passengers who are facing flight crunch due to many airlines grounding their flights and routes.

The London Luton airport-based no-frills airline is offering discounts of up to twenty per cent on all of its flights for peak-season that runs between the 16th of June and the 17th of July.

The carrier recently offered a similar sale covering the months of May and June, and analysts have believed that the new offer shows a heightened desire to stimulate sales in the current economic atmosphere.

According to recent reports, particularly from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), a number of carriers are on the brink of failure due to the continuously rising fuel costs.

However, EasyJet has defied these reports by saying that its fuel-efficient fleet of planes makes it less exposed to the rises in the price of oil than other companies, but in general, most budget airlines are regarded to be in danger.

Different from bigger carriers, a large number of no-frills airlines are not able to hedge their exposure to the price of oil and so are more vulnerable to increases.

On Friday, the price per barrel of oil touched a historic high level of $139.12.
