Yesterday, easyJet, the low cost carrier introduced a brand new service connecting Edinburgh and Nice. The first flight of the service took off from Edinburgh on 24th April, when the airline delightfully invited the passengers aboard. The introduction of the new route is said to follow a popular demand for more services in the said route. With a highly mounting demand, the said service is expected to carry not less than 20,000 passengers during the next 12 months alone.
Under the new service, flights will be available on Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. The cost of one-way tickets in the route starts from £25.99, while the return tickets are priced from £47.66.
Low fare air carriers are becoming highly popular among holidaymakers seeking to work on an affordable budget to make the most out of their holidays. The new addition to the easyJet network has already gained a significant popularity among the travelers as revealed through a significant number of forward bookings. With Nice, emerging as one of the most favourite sunspots, the new launch becomes a significant one in the easyJet network.
David Osborne, easyJet's UK general manager of commercial noted, "Another popular destination on the easyJet network has landed in Scotland. This direct route to Nice has already proven a popular choice and will offer Scots the opportunity to experience the South of France. Forward bookings for the route have been very strong which further proves the demand for direct low-fare flights from Edinburgh to the Sun."
