EasyJet launches new East Midlands to Palma route
European Airlines

On 7th February, EasyJet launched its brand new service connecting East Midlands Airport and Palma de Mallorca. Under this new service, easyJet will operate its flights three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday until 12th April. After this date, the airline has plans to offer daily services in the route. An industry analysis reveals that the present move is a strategic one considering the increasing demand in this route. This is a very good offer for passengers of Easyjet.

By way of celebrating the launch of this new service, EasyJet has announced attractive introduction offers. According to this discount offer, one-way charges are priced at £22.99. For return journey, the rates start at only £35.35. Both these fares include all charges and taxes.

The move follows as Palma is becoming increasingly popular for family holidays and city break. David Osborne, easyJet UK general manager enthusiastically welcomed the inaugural flight of this new service and observed that there has been a broad popular appeal for this destination. In the next year alone, the airline hopes to serve more than 100,000 passengers in this route.

David Osborne remarked, "Palma is a favourite destination for families looking to explore the island of Mallorca, as well as a popular city break destination."

Most notably, Palma becomes the tenth route in which easyJet operates its flights from the East Midlands Airport. The other important destinations presently served by the airline include Barcelona, Faro and Prague.
