UK's largest carrier, easyJet, announced that from this spring, it will start operating its services from London Gatwick to the Greek city of Thessaloniki. With this offer, the passengers would have more options visitng the famous Greek kcity of Thessaloniki from London Gatwick. This is surely going to be a rush-route with the passengers.
The airline will start its operations on January 30, 2008 and will operate a three-times-a-week flight. Passengers can book their seats now for travel until the end of the winter schedule.
The airline will announce its summer schedule, for travel after March, 2008 within the next few weeks. Tickets are priced at just £27.99 one way. All the taxes are included in the quoted price. So, you can plan about the trip right away.
David Osborne, easyJet UK General Manager, said, "Thessaloniki is the second Greek destination easyJet will offer from the UK and we expect to carry over 41,000 passengers on the route this summer. The addition of this new service takes the total number of routes available from our largest base at Gatwick to 44, reinforcing our position as Gatwick's favourite European airline".
Thessaloniki, located in the north of Greece, is the second biggest city in the country and is the perfect gateway for reaching the famous holiday resort of Halkidiki.
