In a recent significant move, easyJet has declared its plans to offer a brand new service connecting Manchester Airport and the Spanish city of Alicante. The said services are to commence on 29th September. Once the service is launched, the reputed low-cost airline will be operating four flights a week on the route. The one-way fares in the route cost from as low as £27.99. The rates are inclusive of all charges and tax.
The new route comes forth in response to a popular demand with the tourists and travelers. More so, those families setting out with a short break away in this highly popular Spanish destination exclusively prefer the route. In this one route alone, it is expected that not less than 60,000 passengers will travel within the first twelve months of launching the brand new service. Notably, Manchester is easyJet's new base in the region and this is the first new route introduced by the airline from Manchester. The airline is highly hopeful of further expansion in this route in the near future.
Carly Brear, EasyJet spokesperson observed, "This is the first new route easyJet has introduced to its new Manchester base and we look forward to further expansion in the near future. Alicante has proven to be a popular destination from other easyJet bases in the UK and now independent travellers from the north-west can take advantage of this new service from our Manchester base, to one of Spain's most popular tourist destinations."
