Destinations

Next week, Dubai's position as a growing international air travel hub will be brought to light with the opening of Airport Show.

The show, which will be attended by more than 600 traders from 40 countries, is expected to attract more than 6,000 visitors. This year, the show has grown by almost twelve percent in accordance with the current air travel boom across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.

Makers and dealers coming from all over the world to take part in the show have key incentives.

The research conducted by Streamline Marketing Group, the organisers of the show, finds that airport projects and developments all over the region are presently valued at about USD$68 billion, with the Gulf nations accounting for almost USD$43 billion of the grand total.

The Dubai Airport Show takes place under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Airports.

The event has emerged as a well established forum for the appointment and pre-qualification of dealers and contractors for the development of airports across the region.

Starting from June 2nd the show is taking place at Airport Expo Dubai until June 4. Featuring 4 expert conferences: Future Airports, Air Traffic Control Middle East, Aviation Security Middle East and Ground Handling Middle East, it will offer aviation officials the chance to have discussions and debates on important issues affecting the air travel industry including growing air traffic.
