In recent times, news of car rental firms and airline companies come fast and fuming. The most recent linking up comes from the Spain, where the Spanish low fares airline Clickair has inked an agreement with CarTrawler, the car rental search engine that collects and compares prices and deals offered by leading car hire companies.
Many car hire companies like to have some deals with the airline companies so that they can provide car hire services to the passengers that travel with those airlines-this increases their chances of getting customers and orders of bookings.
Jaime Lloret, vice president of marketing at Clickair, said, "Ancillary revenue is a core part of our growth strategy, and car rental forms a significant portion of that. Offering our passengers the best possible instrument to facilitate choice was our central goal in selecting CarTrawler as our partner".
CarTrawler also looks at the agreement in the same positive light from in what turns up to be an equally beneficial deal. Both the companies are in positive mood about the deal and they expect that the deal would be quite healthy for their business.
Robin White says, vice president of business development at CarTrawler, said, "Offering value to the consumer is key in achieving the maximum possible conversion when selling car rental.
Clickair has truly set the new standard for car rental ancillary selling and we look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with them".
