Passengers can now buy British Airways tickets by just clicking on mouse, as the carrier has started the facility on www.ba.com.
Giving details to the media, the Area Commercial Manager, Amanda Moss, said that the new facility would also present the customers an option to check in and print their boarding passes online.
Moss said, "The facility to purchase the ticket online would be available till the time the check-in counter opens at the airport. So, technically speaking, if the flight is light, then a passenger may be able to get a real inexpensive ticket".
Here, British Airways' clients can make payments for their ticket through an American Express/Diner, MasterCard or Visa credit card.
Meanwhile, BA is to offer additional seats into and out of India from the month of October this year.
Moss said, "On the Delhi route, the two daily flights will be operated with a Boeing 747-400 aircraft that should offer an additional 140 seats in each direction. Similarly, the airline will deploy a Boeing 747 on the Bangalore route from end-October that would provide an additional 70 seats a day".
She added, "The induction of the new aircraft opens a window of opportunity for us. Now, we can start looking with new gusto as to where these aircraft can be deployed although we will have to compete with other global destinations for these new aircraft to be deployed on the India route".
