In a recent move, bmi has started flying directly from Manchester to Barbados with three services a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Brian Quinn, the bmi airport manager at Manchester remarked, "We are expecting a very high number of passengers travelling to Barbados with bmi over the next few months as this is a peak travel period for the Caribbean island."
With the airline introducing brand new flat beds in the business and premium economy classes, the passengers flying in its carriers to enjoy a winter sunshine break in the route can also hope for a travel of great comfort.The flat beds introduced in the business class are 26 inches wide with a seat pitch of 78-80 inches. The seats in the premium economy seats are 21 inches wide with a pitch of 49 inches. The chairs can recline up to 50 degrees.
bmi's prices from Manchester to Barbados start from £671 for the economy class, £1211 for the premium economy class and £1856 for the business class.
