BMI Airlines long-haul flights now more comfy
European Airlines

Most notably, after introducing a long-haul service between the Manchester airport of Britain and Barbados, BMI AIRLINES has experienced a significant growth during the past three years.

17 new lines have been added by the airline to destinations including Las Vegas and Chicago in addition to many others. In addition, by way of enhancing passenger comfort, the airline has also improved its business class cabin with flatbed reclining seats.

Addressing a media show-and tell-session last week at Grantley Adams International Airport, Athos Ho-Kong-King, BMI's director of sales in the Caribbean showed off the cabin extras onboard the aircraft.

He observed that the travellers have been requesting to provide flatbed seats on long-haul routes. In addition, the airline followed suit as several airlines have begun offering such facilities in their aircrafts. He commented, "The public is asking for it, especially the business people; for an eight-hour and 40-minute flight it is very important.

The airline reports about 85 percent capacity on most of its flights in an average.

Noting the expansion of the airline, he said starting from October 28th, the airline has proposed to fly into Egypt, Ethiopia, Syria, Turkey, Russia, Iran and several other destinations following the recent acquisition of the assets of former British Mediterranean Airlines. He commented, "We are expanding, not fast but very cautiously. When we started the flight here we were a little sceptical but we have been flying since 2004, meaning that we are doing well.
