Beachcroft has also joined the movement of carbon footprint, promising a further five per cent reduction in its carbon emissions. In the legal market, the establishment already has one of the lowest carbon impressions.
During the last financial year, it produced 4,526 tonnes of carbon dioxide(CO2), comparable to 7.9 tonnes per lawyer.
The footprint of Beachcroft is only defeated by Addleshaw Goddard, for which it was 5.7 tonnes per lawyer.
It has promised to cut down its carbon usage by an additional five per cent by taking steps for initiatives for saving energy and wastage and flexible working initiatives.
Beachcroft has also constituted an environmental committee. The environmental committee will be led by the senior partner Simon Hodson.
In order to ensure a continuous commitment for reducing the waste production and the consumption of energy, a champion will be appointed in each office.
"The measures we've introduced are indicative of a firmwide commitment to reducing Beachcroft's impact on the environment. Ultimately they're a key step towards making the business environmentally sustainable for the future", said Hodson.
The company will also work with the team of its IT departments for saving energy through implementing a system that will automatically switch off idle computers after 7pm.
The firm will also be working in association with the CarbonNeutral Company. It will invest in emission reductions in a methane capture project in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany.
