An opinion poll conducted by CNN reveals that more than one third of all Americans are trimming down on their travel plans on account of the high cost of petrol. Not less than 31 percent of respondents said that though they had planned a trip for the vacation earlier, they have been forced to either cancel it or cut it short to save money.

Most notably, even those Americans who earned $50,000 per year have started feeling that a change of lifestyle is highly essential for them to save on gas.
