Amazingly, over 200,000 people are to fly off through Manchester Airport during the next four days alone. This speaks of the multitudes of people who are thronging to the airport to carryon their journeys to various destinations over the Easter Bank holiday weekend including the Canary Islands, Spain, Las Vegas and Spain. On the other hand, the opinion of airport analysts states that due to the nature of holidays this year, the traditional Easter getaway might stretch over three weekends. Since Easter is quite early this year, quite a many schools are yet to break up for the holidays.
The above said conditions foresee that a further 200,000 passengers might pass through the Manchester Airport during the next weekend also.
Manchester Airport's Managing Director Andrew Cornishremarked, "Easter is a really popular time for people to get away and get some sun, or ski or visit popular destinations like Florida, but this year we have seen a new trend emerge. There are obviously thousands of people going away this weekend for the Easter break, but some schools are not breaking up for the spring holiday until a couple of weeks later. That means lots of families will be travelling in April."
Analyzing the data of bookings made so far, it appears that during this year, the top five destinations for people flying from Manchester over the Easter period will include Tenerife, Florida, Alicante, Paris and Geneva, each of them getting ready with a multitude of things to do over the holidays.
