Aer Lingus, the flag carrier of Ireland, is to re-launch its services on the route between Dublin and Newcastle International Airport later this year. This is great news for passengers who want to travel to Dublin from Newcastle International Airport. Passengers are facing constant threat of flights going down due to rising fuel costs around the world but this is surely a morale-boosting news.
Starting from 26th October, the Dublin-based carrier will operate five flights per week between the two destinations, giving both business and leisure travellers the chance to explore these cities.
Newcastle Airport's Chris Sanders said, "We are delighted that Aer Lingus is reintroducing its service to Newcastle this winter. The Dublin route is our busiest international low cost route and has become very popular for business and leisure trips in both directions".
Sanders added, "These additional flights will greatly benefit business and tourism activities at each end of the route".
The carrier said that the new link would provide North-East travellers a gateway to Ireland and Irish travellers better access to the North East of England.
