As part of a franchise deal with Nex Aviation-a well-known wet-lease operator, Aer Arann-Dublin based regional carrier, has revealed the schedules of two of its fresh routes to Amsterdam from West Ireland.
Starting from the 1st of May, the airline will offer a four times a week service to the Dutch city from both Waterford and Galway (via Waterford). The flights from both of these airports will take off on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
On Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, the flights from Galway will take off at 7.15 a.m. and from Waterford the take off time will be at 8.15 a.m., and will reach Amsterdam Schiphol at 10.45 p.m., while on Sundays, the flights will take off at 2.30 p.m. from Galway and at 3.30 p.m. from Waterford and will reach Amsterdam at 6 p.m.
While making announcement about the plans, Mr. Garry Cullen, Aer Arann's managing director, said that with the start of Amsterdam connection, a whole host of new destinations would be opened up to travellers from West Ireland.
Mr. Cullen said, "In addition to the sun destinations, this route expansion offers services to Amsterdam Schiphol. Schiphol offers the best connections of any airport in the world, with more than 260 destinations in 91 countries".
At the same time, the Dublin based carrier has also uncovered its plans to start its operation on three more new routes: from Galway (via Waterford) to Faro, Malaga and Bordeaux.
