Ryanair, Europe's largest low fares carrier, has introduced four new routes from Liverpool Airport.
The Irish-based budget carrier will operate flights from Liverpool to Knock in Ireland, Gdansk and Szczecin in Poland, and Faro in Portugal from the end of the month of October. This is great news for passengers of Ryanair as it would help them take flights to these destinations with more ease and at a low price, when actually the aviation industry is facing fuel price crisis for quite a long time.
Flights to Knock will be operated daily, routes to Faro and Gdansk will be served three times a week and the flights to Szczecin will be operated two times a week.

The new service delivers a text message that contains flight information to Irish and UK cell phones.

Europe's largest low-cost airline Ryanair on Tuesday posted a twenty per cent growth in adjusted full-year profit but said that if oil prices maintain a level of around $130 per barrel it would be only break even in the coming year.
The net profit without one-off items increased to 480.9 million euros in the year ending 31st March against 401.4 million in the previous year.
However, the Irish-based carrier said that its unadjusted net profit declined to 390.7 million euros from 435.6 million euros a year ago after it had included special items, including a write down of 91.6 million euros in the value of its stake in Aer Lingus.

Ryanair, Europe's largest low-cost carrier, has revealed that it will start 14 new routes from the month of October this year, including 5 new locations and 3 new routes from Glasgow Prestwick Airport. This is great news for passengers of Ryanair as they would have wider schedule to choose from and more options of destinations to travel to.
The Irish based low fares carrier will launch these new routes from its bases in Glasgow, Marseille, Bournemouth and Bremen and will bring the total number of routes it serves to 660. The grand total also includes its services to 4 new airports at Lille in France and Agadir, Tangier and Nadoe in Morocco. Truly, this would be a great advancement in recent times when other airlines are struggling to maintain some of the routes in the wake of rising oil costs through the world.
The new routes that the low-cost carrier will be launching during the week ending 27th October include: Bremen to: Gothenburg, Fuerteventura, Tenerife and Marrakesh; Bournemouth to: Paris and Milan; Glasgow to: Malaga, Faro, Tenerife; and Marseille to: Brest, Agadir, Nador, Tangier and Lille. So, if you are planning to visit any of these destinations, you can book a ticket with Ryanair.

Ryanair, Europe's largest low-cost carrier, highlighted its negative response to permit third parties to put up its flights for sale at a travel conference in London last week, reports Travelmole. There was a big demand for the airlines to start doing it but it has supported its decision which was in negative to such an idea.
The Irish-based budget carriers head of sales and marketing, Sinead Finn, told representatives that such a decision will have a negative impact on its passengers and fly in the face of its aim of driving ticket prices down, which are increasing almost every day.
Ms. Sinead Finn told representatives at the Eye for Travel Distribution Summit conference that the company felt permitting online travel agents and Global Distribution Systems to put up its flights for sale would net rates increase and bring about higher ticket prices for the customers..

Ryanair is planning to reduce the price of tickets for its services by half despite a record high price of fuel, helping it grow substantially, the company's Chief Executive, Michael O'Leary, revealed to the German paper Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung. If this is implemented, it would go as a sort of shocker for all other airlines as they all are increasing the prices of tickets.
Mr. O'Leary also saw further failures coming to the airline and said that he would leave the company in two to three years' time.
The carrier plans to take the passengers number to 80 million, double than the current numbers, as well as to increase the number of flying machines to 300 within 4 years, Europe's largest low-fares carrier's chief executive said.

Ryanair, Europe's largest low-cost carrier, has made changes to its optional priority boarding service that offers travellers the opportunity to be the first to board their flights.
At present, passengers who check-in at the airport pay £4/Â5 to avail this service, while those checking in online are able to take advantage of this service without paying any charges: the carrier is offering it free of cost in order to encourage passengers to check-in online. Truly, a great news for passengers who would like to check-in at the airport, as they will not have to pay any extra cost for this-Ryanair has truly provided a wonderful opportunity for them.
But, from the 3rd of June, with Ryanair's new online check-in/priority boarding policy, all passengers, both airport check-in passengers and online check-in passengers, will have to pay £4/ Â5 if they want to avail priority boarding service.

A new partnership has been announced by Europe's largest low-cost carrier, Ryanair with Isango, which will offer the guaranteed lowest prices to 60 million passengers of Ryanair on more than 4,000 tours and trips on www.ryanair.com. This is a very good development for the airlines and also the passengers, as they will be able to avail the benefits of new facilities provided by the deal.
Now, travellers can save time and avoid lines at the top locations in Europe by making reservations for Isango's range of sightseeing trips and other activities before they travel to the 'Trips and Tours' section at Ryanair.com. This would come very handy when passengers would like to pick up the deals quickly without spending too much time.
Sinead Finn of Ryanair said, "Ryanair.com is Europe's largest travel website and a one-stop-shop for the guaranteed lowest fares. This new partnership with Isango will allow our 60m passengers to enjoy over 4,000 activities, trips and tours safe in the knowledge that if they find the same tour for a lower price elsewhere, they'll receive a refund of double the difference from Isango.

Ryanair, Europe's largest low-cost carrier, is the latest leading airline to hike travel related surcharges, making the cost of airfare clearly steeper than it had been earlier.
Now, travellers will be paying an additional £8 per bag, as well as an extra £4 surcharge per passenger. However, those unhappy with these additional surcharges are given some simple advice by one of Europe's largest low fares airlines: such passengers should avoid checking any bags and always take advantage of the online check-in facility.
Irish based low-cost carrier is facing similar turbulent blues that have also brought about difficulties for budget airline companies on both sides of the Atlantic. The financial system is decelerating, which will be expected to result in stagnation and can even turn passenger numbers down, while oil remains close to $120 a barrel-it may toubh $150 this summer.

In a significant move to expand its operations from the Barcelona Girona Airport, Ryanair, the no-frills airline has decided to set aside five new aircrafts exclusively for this base. This move is expected to provide an additional 75 routes before 2012, thereby serving more than eight million passengers in a year.
Notably, these passengers can save about Â800m, when compared to the high fares and fuel surcharges of Iberia at Barcelona El Prat. In addition, in the Catalan region, the move will also give way for a visitor to spend of about Â1.2billion per annum.
The Deputy Chief Executive of Ryanair, Michael Cawley, observed, "Ryanair started flying from Barcelona Girona, our first Spanish airport, in 2002 and the partnership has been a phenomenal success, bringing Europe's guaranteed lowest fares to millions of Catalans and providing the region with millions of visitors from all over Europe. This expansion will see Ryanair's investment at the airport rise to 14 aircraft worth $1 billion. This will support 8,000 jobs in the region, including 500 highly paid Ryanair pilot, cabin crew and engineering positions."

In a recent move, Ryanair has decided to close Ryanair Direct, the Dublin Telesales Operation towards the end of May. This move is expected to give way for up to 40 redundancies highly contributing to its cost reduction programme. At the outset, it is to be noted that Ryanair like many other airlines is seriously working out measures to combat the record-breaking oil price of $100. On the other hand, the airline continues to guarantee its lowest fares in addition to assuring that there will not be any surcharges collected from passengers.
Ryanair's CEO Michael O'Leary said, "The decision to close our Dublin Telesales activity is a painful one. Sadly, the operation is no longer viable or cost competitive against a backdrop of dwindling demand for phone bookings (now less than 1% of sales) while Internet bookings now account for over 99% of ticket sales. Our existing Romanian and German call centres will continue to provide telesales services at 60% lower costs than Ryanair Direct. These kinds of cost savings must be made if Ryanair is to remain Europe's lowest cost airline in these difficult recessionary markets."
The oil prices are soaring up and the fares are falling down simultaneously. Under these circumstances, the airline feels several measures are inevitable to streamline its businesses and reduce costs to consistently hold back its position as the only airline in the whole of Europe offering the lowest fare guarantee besides no fuel surcharges. |

With European Airlines poised to enjoy fantastic benefits in the airline industry after a significant agreement came into force on 30th March, the said agreement has broken new grounds by lifting the restrictions on transatlantic travel that have been there for the past 70 years.
The Open Skies agreement recently signed enables American and European airlines to fly their services on any route between the US and Europe. The agreement means that the airlines are now free to increase the number of destinations and services operated to any of these regions.
Notably, when the restrictions were enforced for so long, only British Airways, United Airlines, American and Virgin Atlantic could offer direct flight connections between Heathrow and the US. Interestingly, the agreement was enforced as a result of over six years of formulations. A flight of the Continental Airlines arriving from New York was the first plane to arrive at London's Heathrow airport yesterday morning as a result of the new agreement.

Ryanair Chief Executive, Michael O'Leary, expects that the profits of the company will halve this year. Owing to this, the airline has decided to freeze pay for top executives since the management is keen to avoid increasing ticket prices to compensate high fuel costs. Earlier in the month of February, the airline warned of high oil prices, a faltering UK economy and weakening of sterling, which might half its profits during the business year commencing in April. However, though some charges may rise, the airline does not want to directly increase the Ryanair fares.
Addressing a press conference, Mr. O'Leary remarked, "Our guidance remains the same from our last. We will update this in June at our results but I expect a 50 percent drop in profits in the next 12 months. I just don't expect our fares to rise. I think our fares will be flat and that will be a good result I think."
He too added, "We are renegotiating airport contracts, handling contracts, maintenance contracts ... we want to reduce costs in every single area of the operation. Baggage fees and credit-card charges will go up. Partly to reduce costs but more importantly to encourage passengers to take hand luggage and reduce our check-in costs. We will move to kiosks very soon."

In a move that was welcomes by a great number of passengers, Ryanair, the reputed low-cost carrier has further extended its scheme of lowest fare guarantee to govern all bookings made till 30th September.
Notably, the famous Irish airline had guaranteed its passengers lowest fares on its services from five of the UK airports to any one of the five European destinations namely City, Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and Stansted. Further, the airline had also added that if a passenger claims otherwise, he would be given a double refund. In addition, he will also be included in a draw to win a cash prize of £10,000.
Peter Sherrard, Ryanair's personnel remarked, "Last year, there were less than 50 successful claims, so any passenger who finds a rare example of a lower fare with a competitor airline stands a great chance of winning. We are so confident that passengers won't find a lower fare with a competitor that we're offering an added incentive to any passenger who finds a rare example of a cheaper fare with another airline."

In a significant move to strengthen its route network, Ryanair has made an announcement regarding the introduction of brand new service to Berlin departing from Shannon. Under this new launch, two flight services will be offered in this route per week with the journeys available on Tuesdays and Fridays. The flight service in this route is to commence on 30th May.
Caroline Baldwin, Ryanair personnel observed, "This new connection to Germany's exciting capital city is a great enhancement of our route network at Shannon. An ideal destination for both business and leisure breaks, Berlin has something for everyone."
With the launch of this new service in the route, it is expected that the passengers passing through Shannon during the course of this year alone will be around two million. Amazingly, this works out to a total ticket sales of around Â350m (£274m) ensuing from the bookings to the mid-west. Notably, the new departures introduced to London and the strategic expansions of Ryanair have been deemed as instrumental to the success of tourism in the Shannon region.

To benefit from Ryanair's offer, passengers need not to pay any type of additional charges or taxes, except a nominal charge of 1p that will be reimbursed--this is really a great chance for travellers of Ryanair.

To be launched in the spring, Ryanair has planned to help its passengers use their mobile phones while in-flight.
Interestingly, the low-cost operator will be fitting out 25 of its aircrafts with the technology provided by OnAir. The project will be accomplished in the quarter extending from June and April. Benefitted by this technology, the passengers in-flight can make international calls via their mobile phones. The calls will be charged at international roaming rates and notably, Ryanair will be receiving a cut of this profit on each of the calls.
Though it was expected that the service would be launched last year, Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary remarked that the regulatory approval was actually taking longer time than what was expected. The results of tests are expected to arrive in March, which will allow Ryanair to launch this facility in its aircrafts after this date.

Ryanair, Europe's largest low-cost carrier, has announced that it is increasing its charges for checked-in luggage and airport check-in. The increase in charges is applicable for all reservations made from 23rd January. So, passengers would need to take care about their budget with low-budget airlines Ryanair, as the increase in charge applies to all reservations now.
The Irish based low-fares carrier has increased its charge for checked-in luggage to £6 from £5 per bag, while for airport check-in, passengers have to pay a fee of £3-an increase by £1.
Defending the carrier's decision of increasing these charges, Peter Sherrard of the airline said that it was part of the carrier's bids to encourage its customers to benefit from their online check-in service which is free of any charges as well as an allowance for ten kilogram of their hand luggage.

In addition, the Irish based airline has revealed that the capacity on its Bournemouth to Glasgow route will be increased to offer a day return traffic, putting it up opposite to the budget airline Flybe's route to Scotland that flies out of Southampton.

Europe's largest low-cost airline, Ryanair has said that despite a rise in oli prices that have seen it close in on a record level of $100 a barrel, it will never introduce fuel surcharges to its ticket prices.
To celebrate its promise to offer its customers fares without any fuel surcharge, the Irish-based low-cost carrier has started a sale in which it is offering 2 million seats at a price of just £10. This is a great news for passengers as they get the assurance that fuel surcharges will not be levied upon them and at the same time they have more choices of choosing various destinations with low-fair airlines, Ryanair.
Peter Sherrard, head of communications at the airline, said, "Europe's high fare airlines are gouging passengers with fuel surcharges of Â70 (£52) and Â80 (£59). The travelling public recognises the crude scams of these fuel surcharging airlines which is why almost 60 million passengers this year will choose Ryanair, the only airline in Europe to guarantee the lowest fares and no fuel surcharges ever".

Ryanair, the Europe's largest low cost airline, has come out with 5 new routes from Edinburgh Airport as part of the largest ever expansion of its network. Passengers would be delighted to have this offer, as in the Festive season, Britishers are looking to go on different destinations, and they need good travel offers from low-cost airlines such as Ryanair.
This expansion from Ryanair would surely benefit both the parties.
According to the chief executive of the Irish based carrier, Michael O'Leary, the services to Pisa, Marseille, Alicante, Frankfurt and Bremen would significantly benefit the Edinburgh airport.

It is assumed that the cost of the ticket will be reduced by Ryanair in this winter whereas the expense for passengers checking in luggage will be raised as announced by the Chief Executive Michael O'Leary the previous day. He says: 'They will go up again next year, when I don't know, probably some time in advance of the summer'.
Passengers who pre-book baggage that they want to check in to the hold through Ryanair's Web site can presently pay £5 or Â6 for the first bag and £10 or Â12 for every add on item. Along with this, those people with only hand luggage can check in for their flight online, and those having bigger items of luggage need to use check in desks for which they have to give an additional cost of £2 or Â3, which surely doubles the cost.
Ryanair is planning to keep the costs lower by motivating people to travel with hand luggage only. Commenting over it Mr. O'Leary has already said earlier that the hold baggage charge will continue to rise until around 50 percent of passengers were checking in luggage.
