Emirates struts into Milan and Rome

Very soon, Emirates is to offer non-stop flights to Milan, the fashion hub of Italy operated on a daily basis. In addition, the airline will also be soon serving Rome, the capital of Italy. These services shall mark a tailored approach by the airline in meeting the needs of airline industry.

Under this new launch, flights will take off on 1st July from Dubai to Milan and Rome. The said services will be on non-stop direct basis, operated on all seven days of the week. Notably, just after eight months of launching the airline's services to Venice, the airline has initiated these two new routes that shall offer ultimate comfort and convenience to passengers. The three principal benefits for passengers ensuing from the launch of new services are increased seat capacity in these routes, widening of choices over seats and streamlining of booking through agents. Airbus A330-200 and Boeing 777-300 will serve Milan and Italy respectively.

Emirates' Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Europe, Keith Longstaff, observed, "This is great news for our passengers travelling in and out of this part of southern Europe. By removing stops en route, we can get customers to their chosen destination faster and in greater comfort."

With most Brits choosing their holiday destination only four weeks prior to booking their trips, Holidays-Direct.co.uk says that most of them look for destinations in Spain with city breaks in Barcelona. Some of the other notable favorites for Brits are Greece, Lanzarote and Tenerife, while the other favorite city breaks are Venice, Dublin and Rome.

Aer Lingus announces new route from Belfast to Paris

Announcing a brand new service between Aer Lingus Group plc is to operate a brand new daily service connecting Belfast International and Paris, Charles de Gaulle with effect from 30th March. The one-way fares for this service will be as low as £25 including taxes and charges. This a very good news for passengers looking to fly to Paris.

From today, bookings can be made through the airline's website www.aerlingus.com.

Volkswagen associates with Carbonfund.org to reduce carbon emission

America Inc.'s Volkswagen today made an announcement that the company has associated with Carbonfund.org to neutralise one year of carbon emission from each new vehicle that Volkswagen will be selling in the US between September 1, 2007 and January 2, 2008.

Adrian Hallmark, executive vice president, Volkswagen of America said, "We developed this partnership to help bring our customers to the forefront of environmental initiatives:.

Hallmark also said, "Vehicles are an important and necessary part of our society, but there are actions we can all take to help ensure a cleaner environment for future generations".

Las Vegas Resort completes renovation

Shell Vacations' Las Vegas resort is approaching completion of a $17,000,000 development that changed it from a low-cost suite motel to a high-quality vacation holding. During the construction period, nearly four years, it received an industry award for its design as well as appreciation for its customer service.

The three-story property recognised as the Hawthorne Suites contained 284 hotel rooms in four buildings, when it was acquired by Shell Vacations in association with Pat Nesbitt in 2004.

In January 2005, the management was passed over to the Shell Vacations Hospitality, the development of the first building was accomplished in June. Each of the following three phases, with about seventy-two units, required 6 to 7 months to finish. The fourth and final building is expected to be complete by September this year,

Mel Brooks" Broadway hit "The Producers," starring David Hasselhoff and Brad Oscar, opened at Paris Las Vegas in February. Currently, it is the only production of the Broadway musical west of the Mississippi.

"X" Burlesque made its debut this year at the 180-seat Flamingo Cabaret.
