Civair, the South African carrier, has uncovered its intentions to start a service on the route from London Stansted to Cape Town. This is great news for passengers as lots of airlines are decreasing the number of routes served from major airports of England and with the introduction of this route, passengers would find it easy to travel to South African city of Cape Town.
While speaking to Business Day, the carrier's chief executive Andy Cluver predicted that the company would gain regulatory permission to fly three times per week on the route.
The planned connection includes a stop-off at Barcelona, which makes Civair the first South African carrier to offer a direct link to Spain, which could further open some new opportunities.

Reaching a significant milestone in its achievement in the airline industry, Emirates landed one of its aircrafts at the Cape Town of Africa on the 1st of April. Notably, this is the 100th destination of the airline across the globe, in addition to being the second gateway in South Africa.
EK 770, the inaugural flight was piloted by Captain Chris Rademan, a South African native. On its landing at the beautiful city of Cape Town, the flight triggered the start of a non-stop flight service on a daily basis between Dubai and this wonderful destination. The highly thrilling sounds of the Marimba band gave an exciting welcome to the passengers.
Calvyn Gilfellan, Chief Executive Officer, Cape Town Routes Unlimited observed, "In many aspects the Middle East represents the inbound luxury tourism market for Cape Town and the Western Cape, with travellers often seeking a top-quality tourism experience: leading tourist attractions, spectacular golf courses, five-star hotels, elegant restaurants, and shopping for world-famous brands. Cape Town and the Western Cape easily deliver on each of these aspects. We believe this hassle-free, direct flight will definitely add to this luxury tourism experience."

According to a report published by the Telegraph, this year can see the launch of a brand new low-cost airline connecting Stansted Airport and Cape Town. This would be a great news for passengers, as in the last year, Cape Town has received a major boost in tourism and lots of people are looking to avail the offers of low-fare air flights to visit Cape Town. If some airlines could offer these low-fare flights to their passengers, this route can be a major success in the coming time.
The new airline is to be called Redair. Interestingly, this new airline is the creation of Andy Cluver, a South African aviation entrepreneur, who is currently operating a helicopter service to transport visitors across the Table Mountain. Perhaps, some new offers will also be made by the owner of the airlines.
Redair has plans to offer five return flights every week between Stansted and Cape Town. The prices for flights to Cape Town will start from £142 for a one-way trip excluding tax. In addition, the airline will also fly its services linking Cape Town and Barcelona and Malaga.
